This pelican, found at
"point somewhere" Baja, was so serious looking
about his
beach that I
figured he was ready to argue a case for beach freedom.
Accordingly I named him Oscar B. Pelican, Esq. , specializing
in marine and environmental law. This is a 16 x 20"
acrylic
painted from my photos and notes in the summer of 2007.

After a photo by Amy
Shapira. I call this one "Fur Study". This bear is a Katmai
bear and Amy's long lens caught it up close and personal.
